| | I was born and raised in Sapporo, Japan and relocated to California in 1986. For the past ten years I have taken many classes and workshops at the Monterey Penninsula College, Hartnell College, Monterey Museum of Art, and Artist associations. Since 1997 the passion for printmaking has taken hold of me. Most of my work is monotype prints. It is primarily black and white with occasional use of color. Dogs dominate my themes because I want to express the energetic, vibrant, and humourous side of life. Animals show us there is a positive side of living filled with affection, the put-on drama of an empty stomach, or the heart wrenching welcome home. |
